San Diego Bay is teeming with fish. From the hard fighting Spotted Bay Bass to the screaming runs of the Pacific Bonefish, there is always some kind of rod bending action. The channels and flats of the quiet back bay are an angler’s paradise. Capt. Mike fishes daily from his Florida style flats skiff for a number of species. On any cast, it is possible to catch the target fish, Spotted Bay Bass and Sand Bass. Frequent encounters with Shortfin Corvina, Halibut, Spotfin and Yellowfin Croakers are common. Bonefish, Barracuda, and Bonito are incidental catches, with shots at big Leopard Sharks always a possibility. These turbocharged fish are a great tug on light tackle, and Capt. Mike will make every day on the bay a fun and enjoyable experience. Whenever you’re in San Diego on vacation or for a convention, or even if you’re a local wanting to learn more about this great resource, spend a beautiful morning fishing the big bay with Mike.
