San Diego Bay is teeming with fish. From the hard pulls of the Spotted Bay Bass to the screaming runs of the Pacific Bonefish, the action is often non stop. The channels and flats of the quiet back bay are an angler’s paradise. Capt. Mike fishes daily from his nineteen foot Mako bay boat for a number of species. On any cast, it is possible to catch the target fish, Spotted Bay Bass and Sand Bass. Frequent encounters with Corvina, Halibut and Croakers occur most days. Bonefish, Barracuda, and Bonito are incidental catches, with shots at big Leopard Sharks always in the mix. These turbocharged fish are a great tug on light tackle, with chances for hundred fish days a real possibility.
Capt. Mike has spent nearly thirty years guiding folks of all ages and abilities, and he strives to make every day on the bay a fun and enjoyable experience. Whenever you’re in San Diego on vacation or for a convention, or even if you’re a local wanting to learn more about this great resource, spend a beautiful morning fishing the big bay with Mike.
